Not long ago, there was talk of renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. The idea was as awkward as it was unnecessary the world laughed and locals rolled their eyes. Everyone knew the name wasn’t going anywhere. It’s still the Gulf of Mexico, and it always will be.
This design was created as a response to that moment, blending humor and protest into one subtle image. Ice cubes melt under the Gulf sun, helmets slouching as if weighed down by their own absurdity. The message is simple: some attempts at control and rewriting reality just won’t stick.
